Not sure what to say?

Papa I miss you and I would not be the person that I am today without your influence and teaching. I will never forget the many years spent out on Norton Point with the horses and cows. I will never forget the family dinners with all of us together and happy. I will never forget the way that you played the guitar and all of the songs that you sang us. I will see you again in eternity.

To the family of Danny Platt, I offer my sincere condolences. I didn't know he had passed away until after his services. He and my husband, Jim Kuntz were music playing buddies and friends for many years. I remember Christmas night jam sessions at our home with Danny, Stan, Mel and Ed. We often saw Danny at various Bluegrass festivals. He and Jim can now jam again to their hearts content and enjoy a place far more beautiful than this mortal veil of tears. God be thanked for our beloved...

There are some songs only done right if Dan is singing them and playing his guitar - Jacob's Ladder and Curtain of Night are two that come to mind - he will be missed -

Danny was a dear friend during my teenage years and I was good friends with his sister Snookie. I remember when he sang and played his guitar with the Whoot Owls on the radio. I have fond memories of riding horses and the fun we had at the Cecil Platt home in the 1950s. May God hold you in the palm of his hands at this difficult time. My deepest sympathy to all of the family. Bob Meischeid also sends his best regards to the family and his sincere sympathy to you

We used to play together with Billy Ed Thomas a great fiddle player back then and later until Billy Ed passed away with his daughter by drowning. We were so shocked and sad then. Over the years Dan, Stan and I played a lot together at home and in Church and he just loved to come and jam. We often talked about...
