To the Ruettimann family I cannot put into words the impact Dan had on my life. Dan was the definition of best friend, always there when needed, always willing to listen, and put others before himself. Life without Dan is difficult but I know he and his dad are reunited and are at peace. I loved you like a brother Dan. R.I.P.

I was so saddened to read of Dan's death. I worked with Dan on technology initiatives at the County. Great guy, always trying to do the right thing. My prayers are with all of you during this time.

In all the time that I knew you we never crossed paths except that you greeted me with a smile and a sincere desire to know how I had been and what was new since last we spoke. One thing I know is that men are born but to be a GOOD man requires an effort quite apart and distinct from what was made by our mothers to bring us into the world.

I wanted to let you know that yesterday we said goodbye to you and it was a beautiful goodbye! We heard many wonderful memories from a lot of people who love you so, and to see how big your twins were and how much they look like you. We all miss you and hope that you are at peace and enjoying your time with your Dad who I know you missed more than words.

How sad to read of another loss for your (our) family. It seems like only "yesterday" I was extending sympathies for Jerry. I wish we could have been closer as family. How nice it would have been to write about a reunion instead of a loss. Please accept my sincerest condolences on Dan's passing.
