Not sure what to say?

Dan was born into a family that defined all the good in “Michigan Outdoors”. Brother Bob made sure his younger brother was ok during our K-8 education at South Hamlin.

Dan was a kind soul and loyal to his friends. He shared his love for animals with everyone and made an impact on so many lives.

Prayers for the Tanis and Mueller families.

I knew Dan (& Laura) Tanis through my work history at Lyric Cinemas; having worked with many members of his family. To Kim, Beth, Laura, Bethany, Michael, Dolly, and their related family members; I extend sincere condolences. Due to Dan & Laura's love of cats, Linda Jankowski & I (Terry Williams) had several years of enjoyment with Lady & Gracie(TNR Community Cats) who are at present 9 years old. Dear Laura, I send my sincere sympathy to you and your family at this very difficult time. I'm keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

Dan was a high school classmate of mine at Ludington Public Schools, and we graduated together in 1968. So, I've known him for over 50 years. He was naturally kind and courteous, although he liked to kid/joke around. Dan was a great friend in those school days. I believe I last saw him at our greater class reunion in Ludington for the classes of 1968-72, in 2022. My condolences to his family, he was such a great guy.
