Not sure what to say?

My most sincere and heartfelt condolences to all in the Kimberlain family on the Commanders passing.

Im proud to have known him, sailed with him & called him my Shipmate.
We served together on the USS IOWA, he as the Main Propulsion Assistant (MPA), I as the Electrical Divisions Leading Petty Officer (LPO), the senior 1st. Class.
Many a time he would walk up to me and say Palmieri, how about givein yer ol MPA a dip then tap the can in my left breat pocket.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

To the Kimberlain Family,

Both my father, VADM (ret.) Phil Balisle and I had the privilege of working with Dan at some point in our careers. I met him early in mine while still learning the ropes and remember fondly how Dan was not only a recognized and respected professional, but someone with whom everyone seemed to naturally bond. He was kind, personable, dedicated, and good-hearted. I had not seen him as much in recent years but when our paths crossed, he always made me smile...

I was sadden to hear this. i was his secretary back in Navsea in late 1992-he was the coolest guy..

To the Family, friends, and shipmates of my beloved Executive Officer-LCDR Danny Kimberlain- I offer my deepest and sincere condolences to you and your families.

First I want to say that LCDR Kimberlain was my second-in-command while serving aboard the finest naval war fighting tin can to ever embrace the fleet-USS Peterson (DD-969).

My condolences, Commander Kimberlain was my XO aboard the USS Peterson, he was on of the finest officers I ever met during my time in the Navy. I tell various stories about my interactions with him, usually they get a lot of laughs. Praying for you all!

To the Kimberlain Family, my heart go out to you. dan was a good friend and great co worker. I'm going miss our talk about all the kids and family. Remember god love you and he have his arms wrap around you doing this time of your life. He will guide your footstep every day. Peace and Grace to you all. Co worker Charline Bailey (OPNAV OP-03 and N96)

I served with Dan in the Navy. He was a great shipmate. Somebody you wanted to be around. He carried us. Always brought up morale and when he had a tough task he injected humor. Our respect for him was immense, that alone made deployments and the tough tasks easier. Strong, but with a gentle soul. He will certainly be missed. You have my deepest sympathy.
