Read MoreEvery time my daughters came to town, I knew that I wouldn't have their undivided attention. After all of the years since Danny had been their coach, they always had to go see him. He was like a second dad to them. You will be missed by all of the kids that you coached over the years.

I have many fond memories of Danny and family when we were growing up. We were first cousins who had not seen each other in over 30 years. I can still remember him beating me every game of basketball that we ever played. Those are fond memories.

Was sorry to learn of Danny's passing. I had not seen him in such a long time, but we used to play music (he the guitar and me the organ) at St. Mary's in McQuady. My deepest sympathy to all of you.
