Lilly and Deborah, I was so sorry to hear that Darrold had "gone fishing". I too have great memories from our adventures on Garland Avenue. We all have some good times. It doesn't surprise me that he was a great chef with a Mom like Lilly. My family is all gone now, I will add you all to my prayers. My sincere sympathies.

I first met Dilley when I started at Starbucks in the Pearl district, he had a heart of gold and loved by so many customers. I will miss you sweet Dilley. RIP

Mr. Dilley was a great man and he is very missed by myself and others here in Portland. We used to spend time visiting at the Pearl District Starbuck's. He always had a kind word or a great story to share with all the people there. "Dilley" was one of the kindest people I have ever known. I'm so grateful for knowing him; Heaven is a much richer place with Darrold Dilley there. Often he spoke of you all, his family. My heart felt regards to his family..With Love from Jan

A great guy, many fun times as children on the Walton and Garland block. Sounds like he was in Portland a bit, wish I had known, been here since 1984 often thought about where life has led us Spokane neighborhood kids. "Ghosts Out Tonight, Skateboarding behind bikes,"Hobo Stoves", Cops and Robbers" they all bring back the fun times we had as kids. I pray that peace and comfort may be yours.

Although it has been many years since I last saw Darrold, I have vivid memories of growing up together in Pine River Park. We could always count on him to have the latest and greatest outdoor gear. The quality of that gear was matched only by his enthusiasm to put it to use as often as possible. Many great times were shared with him and I know he will be missed immensely. My sincere condolences to the entire family. We send our prayers for comfort and strength during this most diffcult time.
