Not sure what to say?

I will cherish the memory of an excellent educator and great man. Daryl was one of the best people on this earth and I am proud to have had the chance to take his class in high school, attend church with him and know him as a friend.

Daryl's parents and mine had regular Sunday dinners(quarterly) with two other couple. we had good times for our growing up years.

Daryl taught both me and my husband and then in later years taught our children. After he retired from teaching and coaching, he became our insurance agent. I'm sure there was a lot of his students that he later cared for with his insurance business. What a great guy. He will be greatly missed.

He was a great guy!!!!!!

Dick and I both taught at Sutherland with Daryl from 1969 thru 1978 and were neighbors. The faculty at that time were great to work with and we had lots of good times together.

I taught First Grade IN Sutherland and Daryl's room was next to mine. I was from Paxton and Daryl and I had a running contest to see who could insult the towns and teams the most. On the "PRACTICAL JOKES," he won, hands down. I even babysat for Daryl and Carol once. He was a friend to all and loved teaching, especially his sports. Too bad I cannot relate the "because of you," (Daryl) joke.

I was Daryl's High School buddy and opposite half back on the football team. We also had State Fair demos together and won purple. He was a great friend.(but he couldn't catch me) ;-) Dean Nelson now of Mpls
