Not sure what to say?

Dave Adolph was my coach at UConn at the beginning of his long career. He was terrific - smart, kind, and supportive. One minute he would be yelling that I played like a farmer. Later, he would give praise....A quote above his desk: Life is like a grindstone -- whether it wears you down or polishes you up depends on what you are made of.

My wife (Judy) and I went to Akron U with Tom .I knew Dave for one year.Fine person and family. Our best wishes to the Adolph family.

My sympathy to the family.May Almighty God give you the strength to endure until his promises are fulfilled.Isaiah 35:5,6

I knew Dave through eight years of grade school at St. Joseph Grade School in Randolph, OH. I remember him as a very smart and compassionate person so am not surprised that he was a great coach. Good to see him being laid to rest in St. Joseph Cemetery. God bless him always.

My condolences to the Family. Please draw strength from the love of family and friends - and may God's Word and His loyal love comfort you and help you through this difficult time. Psalm 119:50, 76

We had the pleasure of knowing Dave in California....Dave was a good man and a fine role model for his children. He will be truly missed.

Michigan game . He had tears in his eyes telling me all about it . I got the feeling that was one of the most memorable experiences in his life . He was so proud and honored that he was chosen by the coaches to be that special captain for...

Oh my golly, I was so sorry to hear about the passing of your father. Remember him fondly both as coach at OSU and, of course, your dad watching you guys at Watterson when he could.
I know he will continue to watch over all his family and you all are in the Chellis' family prayers!

Coach Jim Chellis [Watterson Coach]

Tom and family, I was very saddened to hear of Dave's passing. My condolences and prayers to you and your family. Dave and I had a very long phone call several weeks ago , just sharing "Old Memories" of our times and playing days together at Akron U. He was a wonderful friend ,a terrific football player and a legendary Pro Football coach. He will be deeply missed by all those who ever had contact with him.
