Not sure what to say?

I just came across the news that David passed. I wanted to offer my deepest condolences. It´s truly heartbreaking and saddening, as we shared many good times together over the years. I sincerely hope that all the family members are doing well during this difficult time.

I just found out today that David passed! He was a gentle soul and his mind was always ticking. I remember when he invited Jacob Lawrence, one of the highlights of my life. Some may remember that brothers and sisters knew virtually nothing about Jewish heritage, religion and culture. It was an honor to be befriended by David. We shared certain mini obsessions-Union songs, books that nobody else read, movies about the oppressed, food and cooking, travel, news. His wife is my longest friend. They shared their family with me. David´s convictions never wavered. I respected his opinions and I will miss him.

Dion and Josh and Danielle, This is sad news. We have so many memories of David, of course he was my mother´s 535 Field Rep so many years ago. He leaves a strong and beautiful legacy! Wishing your family peace at this time. Jerry and Greta Fillingim

Sorry to hear about David Aroner's passing. I remember him in the early days as a great guy. We worked together in 1966 at West Central Organization, a Saul Alinsky community organization fighting "urban renewal" policies targeting Detroit's Black community. He was a community organizer and I was an MSW graduate student during a time of great turmoil. A fellow University of Michigan graduate, I have much respect for his life work.

Dion, Josh & Danielle & family, My deepest condolences..I did not know David well but through conversations with his brother in law Johnny Schwartz (RIP) I learned David was brilliant ,an avid learner & much admired. May his memory be for a blessing. Ann Arbitman

I did not know David well but I admired him I served with Dion in the State Legislature and she was a champion of the most neglected people in society. My deepest condolences extend to Dion and David´s family
