It has only been a month since you have left us and it seems like an eternity. It breaks my heart every morning when I expect to see you in the living room watching the early news, and I realize you are no longer with us. I know you are in a better place than we are, but I know now that there is nothing more important than to lose the ones we love, if only temporarily. I miss you so very much.

David was a best friend who just so happened to be my brother. He was a person who would literally give the shirt off his own back to help someone in need, which I have seen many times. I admired that so much about him. -Mom, we have gone through so much as a family. We will get through this, I promise. I cannot fill his shoes, but as his little brother, I will do the best I can.
