To the Briese Family:
I had the privilage of attending the Acadamy with Dave. His cheerfulness and supportiveness helped many of us make it to graduation. He was always there when we were seeking advice or just needed to talk. He was a good man and I will always respect him. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Dave, Dixie, Joanne and families,
We wanted to express our deep sadness at the loss of Dave Jr. It has been a very sad week for our families, we have been hit very hard; first with the loss of Jr. on Friday, Mom on Monday and cousin Debbie on Tuesday. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with all of you and amid all of this chaos, we are here for you. The service today for Jr. was beautiful, emotional, and was an awesome tribute to a truly great deputy.
Love,
Leslie, Kevin,...

I had the chance to work with Dave while he was recovering from his knee surgeries. He was given light duty and was helping out in the Detective's Office. Even being injured and on crutches he was more than willing and happy to do what he could in the office. My heartfelt sympathy to his family and everybody at the Sheriff's Office. What a horrific loss of a great man.
