Not sure what to say?

I worked with Dave for about 8 years, he always offered me advice when he thought I could handle a situation better and he was usually right. He always did it in a respectful way. I don't remember thanking him, so I'm thanking him now. One thing that I will never forget was about 18 years ago, one of the officers had to arrest a person that was at least 6'4,260,with nothing but muscle attached to him. He was destroying the inside of our jail cell. Dave went in there and picked the guy up with...

Dave was a good man and a better friend. He was a huge personality and truly cared about people. He provided my family and me a vast amount comfort and support when my son Jacob was KIA. He took the time to talk with my kids when they were teens when he was on the job. He was a strong figure that they respected in his job as a town policeman opposed to the impression most kids have of cops. You will be missed.

Glad to have met Dave around town and to know some of the family well. Thinking of you at this time and praying that the God of all comfort would be with you. Pastor Art Kohl, Evans Chapel of Angola.
