David A. Cook - 83, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2025. Born on August 25, 1941, David lived a life marked by dedication to family, quiet strength, and deep love for those closest to him. He was preceded in death by Richard J. Cook his brother from Forestville, Sep 2025 and Marlaine K. Cook his beloved wife of 59 years, who passed in June 2024. Their long and loving partnership was the foundation of a family that continues to carry on their legacy. David is survived by his two sisters Beverly L. Deeds-Hurst, Suzanne L. Griffis and their families. His three sons: Kenneth D. Cook and his wife Kathleen R. WaltenspielCook, Kevin J. Cook, and Kelly A. Cook. He was a proud grandfather to Victoria Orr, Alexis Baker, Tyler Cook, Logan Cook, Gabriella Cook, Adam Cook, Rachel Cook, and Rebecca Smith. He also leaves behind two cherished great-granddaughters, Aayla Baker and Harper Lynn Orr. David's life was a testament to loyalty, love, and quiet perseverance. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
His service will be held at 11 a.m. on June 14, 2025, at Pleasant Hills Memorial Park and Mortuary, 1700 Pleasant Hill Rd, Sebastopol CA 95472. A private burial will be held at Mc Peak Cemetery in Forestville. In lieu of flowers donations in his name can be made to the Hollydale Club in Forestville 824-1913 or the Forestville United Methodist Church 887-2020.
