David J. Cunningham

David Jonathan Cunningham, 39, of River Forest, IL, peacefully passed away of natural causes in Southern California on September 18, 2017. Dave was a 1996 Oak Park River Forest High School graduate and a lifelong Chicago native.  He spent years working alongside his uncle and brother at the Chicago Board of Trade. Dave was an exceptional piano and guitar player, as well as an avid writer.  In 2015, he moved to Santa Monica, CA to pursue a career change and foster his love for music and film. He will always be remembered for his infinite ingenuity and boundless sense of humor. Dave is survived by his best friends and siblings, his older brother Matt Cunningham and his younger sister,  Katie Cunningham. Dave is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Robert Anthony and Janet Mary Cunningham. A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at St. Luke’s Church, 528 Lathrop, River Forest at 10:30 a.m. until time of Mass 11:00 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial donations made in his honor to The Misercordia Home, 6300 N.
