Not sure what to say?

I think of David often, especially when I'm at the coast or in the forest. Miss him.

Thinking of you all today- I was amazed to see Peter and Dave on the video about Otters on the Oregon Zoo website- his legacy lives on.

What a shock! I knew Dave in college and we worked together afterwards. I met him a few times later in our careers. I have many fond memories. My condolences are with his family.

Judy,
I'm so shocked and saddened by Dave's sudden passing. I've been thinking of you and was at the memorial in spirit. I so wanted to be there in person. Let me know if you want visitors at any point for some company during this time. Dave was such a good, kind, wise soul. I'll always remember our perfect day kayaking on the columbia, his parenting advice and of course his great smile.
I miss him already,
much love from me and the family-

I was in a book club with Dave for a while, and knew him from working in the Portland Building. He was always smiling and asking about others. He will be greatly missed.

Oh, Judy, we were so, so sorry to hear this sad news. We have been thinking of you and all David's family and yours, and we will be with you in spirit today as you gather to celebrate his life and console each other. May beautiful and grateful memories help heal your days. Much love, Mary Kay (Hogan) and Paul Kantz

Dave was a wonderful mentor, both my kids Jean and Brian joined the Salmon Camp experience. In the early years there was a monthly meeting at OMSI where parents attended also. I learned about traffic signals there. Dave was a great mentor, he encouraged my son to return to OSU and finish his degree . I was always grateful to Dave for that call.

Judy, I am so sorry. Dave was such an amazing person in so many ways. I will remember his smile and the impressive block set up he created for Max when he was 2 and came for a visit. Love Joyce

Hi Judy, my heart is broken for you and Dave's family. I know how much you and Dave loved each and what a special and amazing human he was. I have been sending you my love every day and hoping to soak up some of the sadness. Our heats are broken because we know that the community and the people who knew and loved Dave will have a piece of them missing. We are coming on Saturday. Please let us know any time even in 2 months or 6 moths or two years what we can do to support you. We love...
