Here I am, finding out of your passing five years too late . . .
I met Randy in the fourth grade - Bayview Elementary - and he was my first crush. In the seventh grade he was my first kiss. We spent some time together in high school, going to those FOP surfer movies! So fun.
My fondest memories were the younger years. Racing around on our bikes (thrill hill!) and headed down CapeView to the beach. Playing on those dirt hills across the street from his house. I can see him...

R.I.P. Randy

I just found out yesterday, Its a shock! Im really going to miss a true friend who I grew up with! From my Mom making him Grilled Cheese sandwiches to jumping off his roof into his Mom and Dad's pool, driving to School together and partying and fishing and skiing on his Dad's boat. Randy was a true friend and bestman at my wedding and I will miss him so much, Aloha brother! Your buddy, Freddy Wagner

Randy was my surfing uncle. He was a true waterman. When I was 7 or 8 years old, he would let me listen to his 8-track tapes of the Beach Boys and I'd admire a picture he had of him riding a huge wave at Sunset Beach. He'd grab me in a bear hug & jump off the diving board into the pool.

Randy was the coolest childhood friend growing up on CapeView, I will miss the memories we shared when we occasionaly crossed paths, God Bless the Hopkins Family for their loss.
