Not sure what to say?

I was saddened to hear the recent news of the passing of Dave and wanted to extend my sincere condolences to his entire family. I always enjoyed my community interactions with Dave and found that he was consistently a strong and loyal supporter of our entire community. I trust his family will find peace and consolation in the many happy memories they have. May Dave rest in peace.

Sincerely,

Dan Tonkovich

Nikki and family,
All of our hearts break for you. I’m so very sorry we didn’t recognize Dave’s service. Folks didn’t get a paper for 3 days weather related I’m sure. We were unaware of the virtual service. Would have loved to acknowledge our very dear friend. Dave was our angel in disguise. His support and kindness will never be forgotten. Cherished you are Mr Kenny!!
Nikki and Kay and Steve we are here for you whenever you need. All our love to you.

Nicki, Kay, Steve, Jeanie and family, We are sorry we weren't able to visit a bit at Daves service. We send our condolences for your loss and grief. All who have been blessed with Dave in their lives are fortunate for the loving and happy memories. All who have already passed are fortunate to have him with them in heaven.. We love you all and miss you, looking forward to seeing you soon, Harold and Sarah

I am shocked! Dave, as you all in the family know, was a very good friend of mine. We have known each other most all of our lives. We share the same age, went to St James and then St. Joseph's. We worked on the beginning of St. Joseph's. Our kids are the same age and grew up together. We lived close to each other. Our families both-tragically- lost a child. David and I both worked in downtown Vancouver. Dave and I played softball together and we both helped start the slow-pitch league. We...

We were so shocked and disheartened to hear of Dave's passing. My first thought was "what a fighter" he and Nicki both were with his health issues.

We were given an angel when the Lord sent Dave Kenny to us. We had no idea how "involved" he was with the community. We knew he was always involved with church activities, but after reading his obituary, when did he have time to sleep?

Dave was truly a remarkable man, and our lives were certainly enriched by his presence...

I worked with Dave at First Independent. He was a good co-worker. I know his family will miss him.

Dave was a wonderful man and loved dearly by our family. So many memories of him, dancing at Nick's with Nicki, listening to brother Tim play... Dave started driving school bus when our youngest child Rikki started school and he would stop and pick her up every morning, in front of the high school where I worked, to take her to school. He & Pat worked many Planters Days working in the St. Philip's hamburger stand and he always just made everything fun. He always had a smile, a kind word...

Dave was a genuinely wonderful person; always ready with a smile and a twinkle in his eye. When you were with him, you could feel how much he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. We are blessed to be a part of his family and will truly miss him. Go in peace.

I knew Dave through his volunteer work as a member of Vancouver's Parks and Recreation Commission. He was a member for many years and was an effective citizen advocate. His opinions were offered frequently and were thoughtful and well received. While we wished him well in his retirement, it was with some disappointment as his move to Woodland meant he had to resign from the Commission. Rest in peace Dave, you lived a life you can be very proud of.
