Not sure what to say?

My deepest sympathies to David's family and friends. It is hard to imagine East Lansing without him. I met David in the late '70s when we served on the East Lansing Housing and Community Development Commission. As a renter, I was fully prepared to distrust this unknown landlord. But he quickly won me over with his kindness, consideration, and enthusiasm. Every one of his projects was an act of love to this community. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

We are sorry to hear the passing of Dave. We had the pleasure of Dave and Colleen joining us on some of our MSU bowl tours. A true Spartan family and Dave will be truly missed. Prayers to Colleen and family during this sad time.

We would like to express our sympathy and condolences to David's family for their loss.
David was a special person. We have known him for over forty years. We always looked forward to our conversations with him. He had a way of mixing the technical with the artistic which always made for interesting conversations. He will be forever missed.
Our sympathy,
Tom and Claudine Kost

David was a wonderful man. He was kind, dedicated, serious, yet had a great sense of humor. He was loyal to his friends and family, and will be very much missed in all his circles. We have know Dave since the Harrison Roadhouse opened in 1981. We grieve with the family and the community on the loss of this great man. Love, Harriett and Lee

My deepest condolences to Colleen and family. I have had the pleasure of knowing Dave for over 35 years. He will be missed.

As a friend from his early adult years, it was a privilege to have been friends with David. A lot of fun times in those years. Deepest condolences to Coleen and sons. He leaves a great legacy.
