I was very saddened to hear of Dave's illness and passing. Growing up with Dave as a neighbour was always interesting. I remember him standing in our front hall just after he got his drivers license. He had a funny look on his face and he said, gee it feels funny having a license but nothing to drive. Not long after he had his first of many cars to come on the road.

Our heartfelt condolences to Sil, Jenn, Shawn, on the loss of your dear Husband / Father. We know your hearts are aching. May all of your fond memories of him sustain you through this painful time. He was a great guy, full of love for his wife and kids. Whenever he spoke about any of you he beamed with pride. He was also a great cousin/friend to us, and of course Bob's “beer buddy”. The next family gathering of Zanatta's will not be the same without his bright smile and hardy laugh. RIP dear David, we will miss you.

Dave you were not only my brother in law but a great friend. We first met when I was only 18 dating his beautiful sister Shirley. From times snowmobiling in Bancroft to the past 20 years golfing in Myrtle Beach. Dave's famous line for the drive "We get there, when we get there".

Although we didn't see each other often over the years, I will always remember the fun we all had as children. Our families were close and we spent some wonderful times together. Dave was and will always be a cherished childhood friend of mine and my brothers Gord and John and sister Cindy and my husband Wayne in later years. We have all been reminiscing our many adventures and escapades with much shared laughter and sadness.
Dave had such a generous spirit and true heart. I am honoured to be able to call him my friend. God bless you Dave and your family.
