Not sure what to say?

In life you come across few people who are truly inspirational, Dave was this person our lives, he was not only successful in his relationship with his beautiful wife Vandora and as a father to Cory and Justin, he lived his life fully. He planned, he worked, he relaxed and he played...he loved, truly loved his friends and family.
We were blessed to have Dave in our lives, he made us feel like family, always...we love you Dave, and miss you dearly.
-John, Patti, Kendra and Alyssa

We were very sorry to hear of Dave's passing. We spent some great times together. Our deepest sympathy to you and your family. He was, indeed, one of the good guys.

Vandy. We are so sorry to hear about Dave's passing. Starting since we were neighbours at the UofA in 1977, some of our funniest memories are of Dave and you. Our trips to Hawaii and Disneyland (remember the ice machine?) and freezing to death at the cabin at Pigeon Lake in the dead of winter. And the fancy dinner I had to buy when Dave won the bet that he could quit smoking and all the money I lost to him on betting against the Eskimos and Oilers (sheesh!). He was definitely way up on...

May he rest in peace and our prayers are with his family at this time

Our family was so blessed to have Dave and Vandora join our clan. Growing up I never thought of them as anything other than family. They added so many great memories that we will carry with us for the rest of our lives. Thank you for being a part of our family and know that you will be missed. I am glad you are at peace, but it still feels as though it came too soon. My heart goes out to Vandora, Cory and Justin as I know they all loved Dave so deeply. Remember he will always be a part of you...

Dave was always a very happy person always had a smile on his face whether it be visiting at the lake, working on a project he always had a smile on his face. That's what I'm going to remember most. Miss you Dave.

It is not enough to just say goodbye to a person like David. He was one of the most honest, kind and genuine people you will ever meet. Once he and Vandora touched our family, they became a part of it. Our weekends at the lake were times we will never forget. It forged a bond with the Snyders-Blok's that will live on forever. It is after midnight now and yes, David has gone to rest. Sleep well our dear friend. You are forever in our hearts.

Vandora and family,

In the few years that I got to know David, I could see, right away, what a good natured, humble and genuine person he was. It is people like him who make this earth a better place and I feel blessed to have known him for even this short while. His beautiful soul will always be with you.

My deepest condolences
