David J. Pickert

I was saddened to hear of David's passing and read his obituary. Everything in the obituary is accurate, David was a gifted architect and a true gentleman. He was in the same graduating class as me at UWM. It was a very talented group of designers who have had successful architecture careers. During our thesis semester, five of us appropriated an unused room in the basement of Engleman Hall and dubbed ourselves "Grads Downunder." All five of us plus David swept the Chicago AIA student...
