Not sure what to say?

David was a great friend ,neighbor and best handy man I ever had. He knew my neighborhood well.

Dave was one of my best friends. We met in 1975 at Oregon State, and I came to know his whole family as well. We camped and hiked and explored up and down the West Coast. I made many visits to his special place in Washougal area. He was always there for me, and our friendship will endure. I miss him terribly.

My condolences to the Purcell family. May you receive the comfort you need during this difficult time. Matthew 5:4

Im so sorry to hear of your loss, condolences to all the Purcell family. I hope you can find comfort at this difficult time. I hope the words at 1 Thessalonians 4:14 can serve as a hope to you all.

I will miss Dave. Can't believe he is gone. Fondest memories are of visiting him in Washougal at the DAM event. Beautiful place he preserved, and amazing history. SO like Dave to have spread the word about the wonders of the northwest throughout the country.

We are fortunate that we became friends with Dave through common connections in northern California. We got to hike and backpack with Dave and to spend some time on the property that he nurtured and loved in Washougal, WA. Dave shared his drawings with us and would drive down to Tucson to visit and show us pictures of his latest "dam" project. We will miss his letters and the stories about his travels and his dream of a mining museum. Rest in peace, good friend.
