David Joseph Schakel

David Schakel, 77, of Williamsburg, passed away on December 26, 2010. Fondly known as “Chicken Man�, David was the owner of the West Point Golden Skillet and the Subway Station in Denbigh. He was also a member of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Norge. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Bonnie Schakel; sons, Rex Schakel and his wife, Patti, and Dan Schakel and his wife, Stefanie; daughter, Heidi Moore and her husband, James; and five grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 31 at 11:00 AM at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, 7479 Richmond Road, Norge, VA 23188.
