To the Sims family your dad will be missed from our Church First Baptist Powderly, the last conversation we had was about my dad (Elb Dickerson) who he had a deep respect for, I personally will miss the kindness that he extended to me and my daughter Janel always had a good word about her. I will truly miss Rev. David Sims but know that earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal. You have my family deepest sympathy.

Mr.Sims will be greatly missed by the staff of the VA in Physical med/Rehab. He was always pleasant when he came to his appts. Sympathy goes out to his loved ones during this difficult time.

My dear cousin has departed this life for the next. Many of my fondest memories are from our child hood together in Birmingham. Some of my harshest thoughts are of JIM Crow Laws in Birmingam. Still God allowed us to endure and grow into men. We still strive as Black men to find "One Nation Under God, Indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for All". Rest in peace cuz.
