David Steele

Please share your condolences for David Steele who died in the Shasta-Trinity helicopter crash on August 5, 2008.

"You just can't describe how it feels," said Paul Steele, father of 19-year-old David, a varsity football player who used to ride along with local firefighters to get a closer look at the career he sought. "It empties the heart."

My family is deeply saddened by your loss. We have grown to appreciate how great your family is. You've raised a son that is so greatly missed, and from what I've seen, the other kids in this family, cousins included, are destined to impact the lives of others as well. Yours is an awesome family, full of strength, faith, love and humility. The slide show on cable this weekend was amazing.
I appreciate your sharing the life of David, and his siblings and cousins, uncles, aunts and...

Though we had never met, we worked the same fires and held the same pride in being a fire fighter. R.I.P. And may your family be strong and cherish the memories that you leave behind.

You did a beautiful slide show of Davids life. Its been on ashland cable all weekend.Every time I see it I have to stop & watch[must of seen it a dozen times]

I know this won't help the pain your feeling[I lost my brother 9 yrs ago]but it gives you something to look forward to.
To my dearest family, somthings I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and...

Our thoughts are with you!
Love, Nancy Elliott, David Rogers, and Brian

Paul and Suzanne,

This is Brian Teipen your former youth minister at Our Lady of the Mountain from 2002-2004. It has been so sad to hear about David. I remember bringing him lunches at school; I remeber how dedicated and docile he was. I've been praying for you and him and Christianne ever since. Christianne and David were so special to have in youth group. They were among my favorite. Like Fr. Sean said God will get us through this. May Mary Our Mother who knew the pain...

Our family sends our prayers and warm thoughts for all the Steeles. May God help you through your loss.
