Not sure what to say?

So enjoyed listening to Dave and Art for so many years. Just today I was reminded of one of his sayings: When there are multiple origin explanations for something, they are probably all wrong! His rare wit lives on.

Dave´s memory and impact live on. Yesterday on a bike ride with a person that simply knew Dave from KMOX radio expressed how impressed he was with Dave´s mastery of trivia. As a close friend of Dave´s I remain in awe of his generosity, kindness to children and his dedication in sharing his knowledge. Always in our hearts.

Dave was larger than life. So lucky to call him friend for many years. He was an honorary uncle to all of my children. Dave was kind, ever thoughtful and never missed a birthday for so many as a real and honorary uncle...all the same to us. He gave so much to so many unselfishly. Laughs were many and sorrow now for the loss of wonderful person. I will always miss you, Dave.

Your love, education and power of Trivia is the core reason I loved history. It was your theory on the first black and first woman President helped me understand the importance of history and education. On behalf of my class "92" at Cleveland Naval Jr. R.O.T.C. we love you and will always honor what you gave me. Now you have a bigger group for trivia games (LOL).

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your loved one and dear friend David. I lost my brother and realized at that moment that only one's parents have known you longer than your siblings. I pray that the Holy Spirit will bring all the family the healing through grief needed sent through Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father.
Blessings and Comfort to you all.

Sincerely ,

I have just seen that Mr. Strauss passed away. He was such an amazing teacher at Cleveland (NJROTC for my 90-94 high school years). He always made it interesting to learn and always had a joke for us when we took our seats. It really was such an honor to have known him, please accept my condolences & prayers for his family.

Mr. Strauss was the best teacher I ever had. He was also the smartest man I knew. He taught me so much about History and law. He will be missed..

All my life, radio has been my best friend. I'm proud to have known Dave Strauss, one of a long parade of Sunday night radio personalities that I have come in contact with over the years. And it was good that my relationship with Dave evolved to more then just a voice over the air.

I thank God for knowing you my good friend, and for interacting with you as I have over the years.
