David Van Hekken

I loved to watch David come into the sanctuary because he always held his father's hand. He was such a pleasant person, always ready with a smile. I remember the day he made Profession of Faith very well. Pastor Bob asked him simple questions instead of using the standardized form. David responded "Yes", he did love Jesus, and for many of us in the audience, our tears were close.

We mourn and rejoice with you, David's family and friends. We echo others in remembering the ready smile and warm greeting.

I remember David was an avid bowler and loved to talk about his team and bowling friends .
He kept his mom & dad busy with his schedule / loved to be busy and involved .
He had a great sense of humor & a quick smile.
Sorry to hear he has passed .

David was Pam's student at the Friendship Program which was held at 3rd CRC in Kalamazoo. Many wonderful memories!
