So sorry to hear about Dave. Please accept our condolences. He was a great friend and colleague. Unfortunately we go our separate ways when we retire and do not keep in touch. I leave you with Go Blue.

Coach Wags was a huge influence on me in the 13 years I was able to be around him here on campus in Angola. He demanded excellence and 100% effort from everyone around him but also had an unbelievable knack for making everything fun at the same time. Not only was he a role model as a coach but more importantly a family man. His love for his family was unmatched. He was a maker of men and will be missed. Coach Abbs

Sue and I are so shocked and sorrowful on the lost of Dave. My thoughts are flooded with so many memories of Dave - too many for this message. He is my good friend going back to the St. Francis football days. He coached my son Nick in football at Sylvania St. Joseph and at St. Francis. Nick loved Coach Wags. Dave hired me as an Adjunct Professor at Tri-State (Trine) University and encouraged me to complete my doctorate. It has always been a privilege to have Dave as my (our) friend. Many prayers for the Wagner Family whom we love so much! Dave we know you are safe with our Lord. We will miss you my friend - until we meet again!
