David Eugene Wilson, “Coach Dave”,73, passed away on Monday, November 22, 2021. He was the husband of Margaret Watson Wilson and the son of the late Eugene and Mary Ellen Abbott Wilson. Mr. Wilson was a native of Los Angeles, California and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Boiling Springs. Dave was a veteran of the U S Marine Corps during the Vietnam era. He was a beloved Coach and owned Coach Dave’s School of Hitting and Pitching.


In addition to his wife, left to cherish his memory are three daughters, Dindy Wilson Berkowitz (Craig); Gretchen Wilson Krisle (Jason); Nancy Wilson; two sons, Joseph Daniel Wilson (Jessica); and Nathan Michael Wilson (Shannon); fourteen grandchildren, Preston Brett Wilson (Morgan); Jase Krisle; Jacob Krisle; Faith Jensen-Zuck (Steven); Devin McKeehan; Cain McKeehan; Haydee Wilson; Lane Krisle; Marty Wilson; Meghan Krisle; Bridget Wilson; Ethan Wilson; Ella McKeehan; Brandon Wilson; two great-grandchildren, Olivia Wilson and Paisley Wilson; and three sisters Lorraine Butts (Donald); Vicki Diaz (Jim); and Linda Morgan (Robert).


The family will receive friends on Friday, November 26, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Eggers Funeral Home of Boiling Springs. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 3691 Clark Rd, Boiling Springs SC 29316 at 11:00 AM with Bishop Ty Christoffersen officiating. Burial will follow at Good Shepherd Memorial Park with military honors.


The family will be at the home.

A Life Well Lived-No Regrets for Dave. Tho called "Coach", and always a Proud Marine, he lived his life as first a follower of Christ, a husband, and father, then those other things. I am pretty sure he's already there in Heaven, getting his own "Field of Dreams" ready to go. Probably talking Roy Campanello into catching for him, along with lots of other former members of his Beloved Dodgers! Just makes us all smile.
