Burks-Walker-Tippit Funeral Directors - Tyler Obituary

Graveside services for Debra “Nana” Miller, of Chapel Hill are scheduled for Monday, September 27, 2021, at 10:00 a.m., at Williams Cemetery, Chapel Hill.

She went to be with the Lord and reunite with the love of her life, her husband Scotty on September 22, 2021, in Smith County. Debra was born on May 2, 1953, in Tyler.

She is survived by her son Michael and Jennifer Miller and daughter Shay and Chris Rhame.  But most importantly her Greatest Blessings that called her Nana were her 2 grand-daughters Mindy Shay Miller and Ashley Rhame.  She loved them dearly and lived every moment for them.  They were her world, her everything! She loved her family dearly and lived for them.

She was preceded in death by her husband Scotty Miller, her parents, Jack and Dorothy Tarrant.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Mindy Miller and Ashley Rhame.

Due to the unfortunate circumstances at this time, there will not be a Visitation, only a Family Graveside service.  A book will be available at the funeral home or online.

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9

Sweet sweet Nana! Our family is SO very blessed that our paths crossed and we got to know you! You made every adventure more fun. You will always be in our hearts, never forgotten. ❤

My thoughts and prayers are with your families as each of you face the challenges ahead of you in dealing with the loss of your mother.
Your mom was very kind and caring. I will miss seeing her generosity and passion she had for her granddaughters.

Our condolences and prayers for your family. Shay, Ashley, Chris, Mindy we will keep you in our prayers. May God give you all strength during this difficult time.

Deepest sympathy and love Aunt Glenda and Uncle Marvin

Debra loved God, her family and her friends with genuine love. I had the privilege of being Scotty and Debra’s Sunday School teacher at FBC, Whitehouse. I have many fond memories of the Miller family, and many center around their grandchildren - Mindy and Ashley. Debra and I had special times of praying for our children and grandchildren. I already miss Debra, and I look forward to seeing her and Scotty again in perfect health.

My thoughts and prayers are with your family.❤
