Not sure what to say?

Bosacker family,

I just heard about Del's passing today and I am very sorry for your loss. Teacher/Coach Bo made such an impact on me if only for being around him one year. He always had a smile on his face and a friendly word for you and made you feel that he cared.

You have my deepest sympathies.

Anthony Burke
Hopkins Class of 1983

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Bo was an awsome coach and teacher. He inspired me to become a teacher. I have fond memories of his humor and love of life. Track practice was never dull! Bo was a very important part of my high school experience.
Class of 1981

No teacher affected my high school experience more than Bo, and I'm grateful he volunteered to help chaperone our mission trip to Colorado.
I didn't follow a career in the sciences, and yet his teaching revolutionized how I thought about my education. No other teacher did more to wake me up. I've thought about P&A more frequently now that my own children are in school, and I pray they will be able to know that kind of gift in their own teachers.
I am so sorry for your loss,...

Me, after completing the Grand Portage last year!

I'm a retired Hopkins Junior High Life Science teacher (also 69 years old). I was fortunate to have both of his children in class and get to know him professionally through district science meetings and football coaching. He was an awesome teacher and person. Yes, Bo was a wonderful role model and mentor for his students, but he was also a great example of what a teacher should be for us in the profession. My sympathies to the Bosacker Family. Del will be a "rock star" in heaven.

I was saddened to read the memorial in the HP-MTKA Sailor. I enjoyed P&A class. I loved his style of teaching. I can only hope my children are as fortunate to have a teacher like him. Thank you to his family for sharing him with so many.

Bo was a great teacher! As my P&A teacher in 1980 and one of the track coaches for the 3 years I was at Hopkins Lindbergh, I will never forget his great sense of humor. He was the kind of teacher you wish for your own kids. My thoughts to his family

Bo was one of my favorite teachers. I loved his P&A class and also enjoyed him as my track coach. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family...Jill Langer Jewell - class of '87

Bo was the wind of the science department- always plotting little "surprises" and planning fun for all in the science and math wing. I wasn't at Hopkins too long before he retired, but he was a SUPER Glen Lake supporter, which was our bond. I envied his teaching skills and respected the heart of the man.
