Whitson Funeral Home - Cookeville Chapel Obituary

Funeral services for Della Jane Williams, age 90 of Monterey, will be held on Monday at 1:00pm from the Chapel of Whitson Funeral Home. Bro. Ronald Allen will officiate at the service and Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers. The Burial will follow at the West Cemetery (Fairview).


The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, on Sunday from 6:00pm until 8:00pm and on Monday from 11:00am until time of services at 1:00pm.


Della Jane Williams was born on November 21, 1929 in Putnam County to the late Ed and Willie Gaw and passed away on July 22, 2020 in Cumberland County surrounded by loved ones.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by; 1st husband, Howard Warden, 2nd Husband, Clarence Henley and 3rd Husband Walter Williams. 2 sons, Bruce Henley, Robert Henley;   2 Sisters, Ester White and Lou Nelson and 2 brothers, Jay Gaw and Tom Gaw


Her family includes,


5 Sons: Danny (Betty) Warden, Ralph (Rebecca) Henley and Charles (Martha) Henley.


1 Step Son: Jimmy Henley


2 Brothers: Carl Gaw and Benton Gaw


2 Sisters: Barbara Allen and Janice Henley


 1 Daughter-In-Law: Debbie Henley


8 Grandchildren: Amy Warren, Tisha Sanker, Brandon Henley, Alisha Serwan, Tiffany Henley, Josh Henley, Brittany Henley and Matt Henley

I remember Della coming to Community Chapel church for years when I was a child. Always loved her and she would always hug us children then give us a piece of hard candy.So sorry to hear this.
