Delores Del Rio Gaymon Snell

Out of the many teachers I had during my school days in Long Beach, Mrs. Snell was the one of the most memorable, a true inspiration. I still remember a piece of advice she gave me to this day. :)

Soror Dee,

You will be missed abundantly by our Sorors and me in the Hayward-Tri-City Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. We loved you and so did my daughter and husband. Thank you for being you, and for reminding all of us to "stay in love with life and the Lord."

Sidnee, my prayer for you and your family is that you will be able to cope with your loss and to move forward through your grief and bereavement. God bless you!

After meeting Dee, it's hard to forget her. She had a unique perspective of life and how it should be lived. Dee was a friend of my sister, Dawania Quiett. The two of them had a friend/daughter relationship & got along as such. I know Dawania will truly miss her. Rest in peace Dee! It was a pleasure meeting and spending time with you.

Dee had the most wonderful, caring personality, as well as a great sense of humor. When she would give a gift to my husband Jeff or me, she would say "just allow me to tap dance through your mind, when you think of this item." Rest in peace, my dear, dear friend.
