PROCKNOW, Demetris A. - Of Burton, age 90, died Thursday, May 29, 2003. Funeral service will be held at 12Noon Monday, June 2, 2003 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Reverend Charles R. Mosier officiating. Burial in Grace Lawn Cemetery. Those desiring may make contributions to the Glad Tidings Tabernacle. Visitation 1-4 and 6-9PM Saturday and 11AM-9PM Sunday at the funeral home. Demetris was born in Princeton, Kentucky on March 28, 1913 and was a resident of Burton since 1958. She was a lifelong member of Glad Tidings Tabernacle. Demetris was employed as an inspector for AC Spark Plug Division. Surviving are son, Herb and wife Linda Brannon of Lapeer; 4 daughters, Laverne Hiscock and husband Graham of Burton, Dorothy (Glasco) Cooper and husband Bill of Kissimmee, Florida, Jeanette Barton of Phoenix, Arizona and Sharon Morrish of Flint; 24 grandchildren; 42 great- grandchildren and 3 great-great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy L. Procknow; 5 sons,Bill, Bob, David, Gary and Larry.
