Not sure what to say?

Dear Day Family,
The faculty of WLMS was saddened to hear of Derek's death. I was Derek's English teacher in 7th & 8th grades. I have a letter which Derek wrote to himself at the end of 8th grade which I mailed at graduation time, but since you had moved, it was returned to me. I'd love to send it to you now. You may email me your address to [email protected] I hope it brings some comfort to you.

Dear Day Family,
Our hearts break for you. We will keep you in our prayers. God Bless you and help you through this time.

Mr. and Mrs. Day and family, Please accept our sincerest condolences of your loss of Derek. Derek was a great friend to our son, Nicholas when we moved to and from Wellington and they have continued to keep in touch since. Nicholas thought the world of Derek. We only met you and your daughter a few times, but we saw Derek often and he was always a wonderful person to be around. Our heart breaks for you and your family as well as for our son, who has lost a great friend, and also for all of...

My favorite memory of Derek is this one time we were on Sligh hill, which overlooks the entire city of Lakeland, and the sun was rising/setting and it looked like we were straddling these two beautiful scenes. I’ll never forget when he told me it was one of the most amazing things he’d ever seen and then thanked me for taking him there.

I am deeply saddened by this news. I truly enjoyed having Derek in class. It was always a pleasure being around him. I will keep your family in my prayers.

Jeff and family, my thoughts and prayers are with you. I cannot even imagine the sorrow you are experiencing. God bless you and help you through this most difficult time.
