Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home Obituary

Derek Joel Morris passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 19, 2021 at the age of 32 in Knoxville, Tennessee. He was born on May 15, 1988 in Cincinnati, Ohio to his loving parents, Debbie Wilson and Duane Morris.

Derek was known for his larger-than-life attitude that allowed him to take everyone’s heart by storm. He was often the loudest, funniest, and biggest presence in a room. His goofy nature could have everyone laughing out loud. Derek was a kind and generous soul – he would give you the shirt off his back if he thought you needed it. He was a lover of shoes, music, and tattoos. Most recently, Derek discovered his passion as a cook, where he excelled naturally.

Above all, Derek loved his family. In addition to his parents, Debbie and Duane, Derek is survived by his children: Madison, Jordyn, and Harper; brothers: Jaryd Barr, Nathan Leonard, Drew Morris, Trent Estes, and Taylor Estes; his grandmothers: Christine Clark and JoAnn Morris; along with numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Their hearts will never be the same. Derek was preceded in death by his grandfathers: Wallace Clark and Alfred Morris.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 27th from 5pm-8pm at Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home, 10211 Plainfield Rd, Cincinnati, Ohio 45241. Funeral Service will take place the following day, Wednesday, April 28th at 11am, also at the funeral home.

My prayers and sincere condolences go out to Derek's Family on his sudden passing. We were neighbors on Krylon many years ago and our boys often played with Derek. May you remember and cherish all of your good memories with him. Wishing you peace and comfort at this time.

Hi Debbie, I am so sorry for your loss. I am glad he got to enjoy his passion for while and his tatoos. Gone way too soon. Prayers go out to you and all of your family.
