To the Nelson Family,

I'm so sorry, I wasn't aware of the passing of Principal Nelson. Words can't even describe the pain for the loss of such a wonderful & genuine person. There's not one person I could imagine that wasn't blessed to have met or known him. He will always have a special place in the hearts of his students. It takes a special person like Principal Nelson to be an effective teacher, mentor and friend. My condolences to you all.

Mr. Derrick is a REAL hero. This man had the compassion to put his life in danger for someone else. Sadly, it cost him his life. I feel so sorry for his family, but no one can take away the fact that Mr. Derrick was a very rare, exceptional person. All of us can learn from his selflessness. My God bless him and his family.
