Daniel, Diane Marie (Heaney) age 60. Diane died peacefully at home May 25, surrounded by family. A graduate of South St. Paul High School and University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy, Diane practiced retail pharmacy until taking disability retirement in 2008. A devoted mother, daughter, sister and wife, she was an avid Golden Gopher hockey fan and enjoyed gardening and walking her wooded acreage in northern Minnesota. Diane is survived by husband, Dale; children, Evan & Caitlin; mother, Bernice Heaney; mother-in-law, Chrysella Daniel; brother, Steven (Lynn) Heaney; sister, Kathleen Heaney (Edward Stoutenburg); brother-in-law, David (Connie) Daniel; sisters-in-law, Jerri (Mark) Lilevjen & Julie (Randy) Hansen; and many other family & friends. Preceded in death by father, Donald; brother Richard Heaney; father-in-law, William Daniel; & niece, Kaylyn Stoutenburg. Funeral Service 12 PM Thursday at Evans-Nordby Funeral Home, 34 Second Street NE, Osseo. Visitation starting at 11 AM at the funeral home. Interment at St. Vincent's Cemetery in Osseo. I met Diane in gym class when she moved to SSP. I am so sorry to learn of her death. She was smart, athletic, and a very nice person.
