Guest Book

Not sure what to say?

I have read Mrs. Kostelni's reviews for many years. I was always excited when I saw one of the reviews in the Roanoke Times. I have always admired and respected her reviews and her fairness to the restaurant itself. To be honest, I wanted to BE Dolores Kostelini, because she did such a wonderful job of describing each restaurant experience. I will truly miss her presence in the Roanoke Tines. My prayers are with the Kostelini family. I am so sorry for your loss.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time especially with the holidays here. I am so honored to have known Mrs. Kostelni = during elementary school she used to be the best room mother and would have our class to her house for a year end picnic. Later in my life she supported my business of selling Pampered Chef and opened her kitchen to me and made me feel so comfortable cooking with her. She will be missed by many. I pray for comfort and peace for her...

I so loved Dolores. We were in touch for many years, and I will miss her.

Your heartfelt and sincere comments are appreciated by our family, thanks. The funeral for mom was beautiful as she was to us. Warm Regards,

Dolores and I had many, many laughs together as we told each other stories of family and friends. I always said "hello" to Dolores when we traveled from Atlanta to New Market VA (my hometown), as we passed through Lexington on I-81. I was a guest on her show 3 or 4 times related to cookbooks I had written. She came to Roanoke 2 years ago when I was in the R T booth at the Stocked Market. She did this to lend support. That's the way Dolores was. We were friends since early 1990's....

I am so sorry to hear of your loss, especially my dear friend Charlie. May God hold each of you close as you go through this time!

Thank you all for posting your memories. It helps to know Mom was loved by so many near and far. She was loved by her family so much and we're all still in shock but having some great memories of the Happy Cook. Be well. nk

She was a friend and we infrequently were in touch for one thing and another.
plus we both did a lot of restaurant review work. She even got us kicked out of restaurant one time due to a bad review she gave them years before.
We laughed and laughed. I'll miss her.

To the whole Kostelni family, we send our prayers and thoughts. She was a wonderful person and her children inherited her gift of friendlyness. We expecially are thinking of Charles, who is a friend of our daughter, and Natalie, a friend of our other daughter. The C.H.Mull family
