Dear Marcy and Mindy,

Craig Cross let me know of your father's passing. Even though it's been years since we've had any contact, please know that my thoughts are with you. Your family was so kind and generous to me during my college years. I'm forever grateful to you both for allowing me to be a part of your family life so many years ago.

Dear Mindy and Marcy, like Craig, I remeber clearly the first meeting with Don and Virginia in Albufeira, just after meeting the two of you on the Sol e Mar terrace. Since then (1967!) Don stayed in touch with illegible handwritten letters, with margin notes and exclamation points!!! or hastily typed dictation proofs from the Calfed building. I know he had a profound influence over many young lives, and always had time for me, which will always stay with me and my family. I was also saddened...

Mindy/Marcy et al. My deceased father Travis introduced me to Don on a sunny day in 1968 after a Stanford vs Univ of Oregon football game in Eugene, OR. I learned many things from all of the Muchmore family--among them the purple mountains of Palm Springs, fine wine, Portugal/Spain and why school grades can matter.
