Donald Craig Obituary

Donald "DJ" J. Craig, Jr., 20
2005 - 2025
Orlando, FL - With great sadness, we announce the passing of Donald J. Craig Jr ("DJ"), a beloved son and brother. DJ passed at home on June 24, 2025, 6 days after celebrating his 20th birthday following his courageous battle with leukemia.
Born on June 18, 2005, in Orlando Florida, DJ touched the lives of those around him with his strength, resilience, and unwavering spirit. DJ's soul is surrounded by family and loved ones on his next journey.
DJ graduated from Timber Creek High School in 2023 where he was a member of the varsity soccer team, and many other clubs, and was attending the University of Central Florida, pursuing a degree in civil engineering, at the time of his Lymphoma diagnosis in the fall of 2024.
DJ's passion was soccer but loved all sports. He was a great fan of all New England sports teams.
DJ was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew and friend. He is survived by his loving family, including his parents Donald J. Craig Sr and Jeanne (Strangie) Craig, his brother Daniel Craig, his sister Mary Craig, who are students at Timber Creek High School, his girlfriend Julia Frederico, several aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him dearly. As well as, an extended family of Judy and Ralph Jackson, also known as Nana Judy and Grampy Ralph and their family.
DJ will be remembered for his kindness, compassion, and positive impact he had on everyone fortunate enough to have known him. DJ's smile would get you to do anything he asked, he had a rare gift of making long lasting friendships from an early age.
The family wishes to thank the entire community for their outpouring of love and support over the past 9 months. You've all touched our hearts more than you will ever know.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that you donate to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
A celebration of DJ's life will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, July 18, 2025 in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn. A Mass in his memory will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at 4:00 PM at St. Pius V Church, 215 Maple Street, Lynn.
