Dear Family,
All can celebtate a life well lived serving our patients and Lord at Fairview Southdale Hospital. Don will be missed by many.
E. Duane Engstrom, M.D.

Dear Family of John Krause, I worked with Don for 10 plus years at the Presbyterian home. I coordinate the Catholic Services there. I met you, Betty, at Don's retirement party. He was such a help to us, teaching us about the systems in the chapel. He was such a comfort to all the residents of the Presbyterian Home. I will be on retreat when the services are taking place. He was a great and kind man and will be missed by many.

Don was a true gentleman and wonderful pastor and chaplain. He would always greet you with a smile and a firm hand shake. I worked with him at North Memorial in the 90's. His pastoral presence and kindness brought comfort to many.

Dear Tom and Todd,
I am so sorry to hear of your dad's passing. As my pastor at Maplewood Covenant Church for many years, he has had a special place in my heart since I was quite young. Your mom was special to me also since she was my first piano teacher. Do you remember our families going camping together: the Sid Johnsons (my family), the Lloyd Nelsons, and the Leo Christians? What fun we had! Your dad was able to minister to me and my husband again in 1973 when he comforted us...

Tom and Todd, good news, I just realized a "Senior Moment" occured and I'll be able to attend your Father's Funeral. Look forward to seeing you, it's been many years, Bob.

Dear Tom and Todd, was saddened, selfishly, to hear of your Father's passing. He had a major impact on my life over the years. He introduced Jesus Christ to me in 1955 while he was Pastor at Maplewood Covenant Church. His very first funeral at Maplelwood was my Father's, in 1955 also. He and your Mother surrounded us with their kindness and love in so many ways. He was instrumental in my attending Minnehaha Academy. I always looked forward to seeing him and visiting with him over the...

Don's care and compassion for his patients and families was an example to me and to other chaplains who worked with him through the years.
