Donald F. "Red" McGuire, 75, ret. Lt. C.P.D. Beloved husband of Denise F., nee McAllister; dearest Dad of Bridget (Joe) Stefanelli, Colleen and Erin McGuire and the late Brian Gerard McGuire; loving Papa of Declan McGuire, Peter, Rebecca and Brian Stefanelli; fond brother of Dr. Kay (Joe) Velisek and the late Gerald "little Jerry" McGuire; loving son of the late Gerald and Mary, nee Griffin, McGuire; dear brother-in-law of Jerry (Pat) McAllister; uncle of many nephews and nieces. Visitation Monday, 3 to 9 p.m. Funeral Tuesday, 8:45 a.m. from Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W. 103rd St., Oak Lawn to St. Christina Church, Mass 9:30 a.m. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Chicago Police Memorial Fund or to Autism Science Foundation. Dear McGuire family,
Was so sorry to hear of the passing of Don. He and I were partners in the Gang Crimes Unit. I also had the honor of working with Don at Olde Area #3. We shared many a frosty mug of root beer at the A&W on Archer. Our first stop after roll call. My condolances, John Berleman

Heartfelt and prayerful condolences from the Chicago Police Chaplains, Don will be remembered at our next Police Mass, Sunday 13 NOV at 11:00 a.m. at Mercy Home (1140 W. Jackson Blvd). In the meantime, may his family know the healing touch of Jesus Christ!
