Not sure what to say?

I worked for Don for a short time in the old Shell Building on Fannin. He was a true gentleman and the kind of boss who motivated his folks by example and positive reinforcement. As a result he was highly respected.

After that we were always in different places, but when I reached Shell Michigan in the '90's I found a strong legacy still intact.

I was fortunate to be a class member of Don's UT group. He was first class guy and knew he would be a success. I am from San Angelo and everytime I drive back there and pass the Doole turnoff, I think of him.
Sincerely

We have, through the years, have failed to continue a very specal friendship you and Don. May he rest in peace.

I was truly sorry to hear of Don's passing. I worked with Don in the Houston Gas Dept., at the Fanin Bank Bldg. and finally in 1981-84 in Traverse City MI. Don was a mentor, friend and a real gentleman. We got to know him and Norma best in Traverse City and enjoyed their friendship. Don was truly one of the good guys I've met in my life and will be missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.

As a young engineer in 1962-1964, I worked for Bobby Torrance and Don McNeely at Shell's Sheridan Gas Plant west of Columbus in Colorado County. There were no two finer gentlemen in the industry. We lived in a company house, and the McNeelys were close neighbors. Those were great times, with great memories.
