Chandler - DOROTHY MAY BABB
Chandler, IN. - Dorothy (White) Babb, age 92, died peacefully Tuesday, November 26th at Woodmont Health Campus in Boonville, Indiana
Dorothy was born on May 5, 1927 in Evansville, Indiana to the late Willam and Mary (Ellsperman) White.
In 1945 she married her husband, William (Bill) Babb. They had two children, Ronald Lee Babb and Peggy (Babb) Murray. Dorothy loved to play cards, spend her time making and selling arts and crafts and baking. They also ran two successful businesses; The Babb's Market and the Chandler Marina. But her greatest love was spending time with her family. Her grandchildren, Scott, Heather and Stephanie, share fond memories of spending countless hours with her watching home movies, playing card games and camping. They especially love their Grandma's homemade No Bake Cookies. Dorothy was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Chandler, Indiana.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter Peggy Murray and son-in-law James Murray of Boonville, IN; grandson Scott Babb and his wife Heather of Columbus, IN; granddaughter Heather Shadrick and her fiancé, Rob Beaven of Evansville, IN; granddaughter Stephanie Vargas and her husband Luis of Evansville, IN. She's also survived by her eight great grandchildren; Paige, Dylan, Elyse, Dalton, MacKenzie, Evan, Reagan and Alondra.
She is preceded in death by her husband William Babb and son Ronald Babb.
Services will be 11 A.M. on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at Koehler Funeral Home, Perigo Chapel in Chandler, Indiana with Pastor Jack Wieland officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Chandler, Indiana.
Visitation will be 4 P.M. until 8 P.M. on Monday, December 2, 2019 and again from 10 A.M. until the time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
