Dear Sarah and Family,


I'm very sorry for your loss. I remember Dotty and Harold so well from our days in Penbrook. The shoe shop on Walnut Street.... and when Dottie first started planting her unusual Winter Gardens. I have often told friends here in Arizona about them. We're not able to grow them here because of the high heat and low humidity so they will always be a very special memory. My deepest sympathy to all of you.

I remember when you and Bob added the "Dot wing" to your
comfortable house so that your mom could come and
live with you but have her own special place that she could retreat
to. What a wonderful blessing to be able to pass from this world
in one's own special place on Christmas Eve surrounded by the people you love.
Your mom's work ethic never failed to astound me and she seemed
to be happiest while digging and planting in her garden and...

I have known Dotty & Harold all my life. My mother was the organist at St. Thomas UCC for 30+ years, also a lifetime member, and good friends of the Rudys. I grew up knowing the compassionate and extraordinary Rudy family. Dotty was a wonderful woman and will be greatly missed! Rest in peace in God's loving arms.
