When our Son, Thane, died 2 years ago, Doug took the time to come to his funeral. we felt so blessed that he came. WE cherished his friendship. May he rest in the eternal joy and peace that our God promises. RIP from the Nix family

I had the privilege of supervising Doug for several years at Abraxas. Doug had an impact on the kids he worked with unlike anyone I knew in the 13 years I have worked with juveniles. Doug provided me with friendship and support over those years both professionally and personally. He will be truly missed. What a wonderful husband and father you had in your life. I knew Doug for a short time in comparison and already was aware of what a truly wonderful person and how many lives he's touched. The loss is profound but Doug's gifts that he has left us with...his love, grace, patience, creativity...the list goes on, will slowly heal that loss with beautiful memories. May God hold you close
