Not sure what to say?

I'm reminded of the work I did with Doug as the "ole Fox" was being retired and replaced...I was then a village trustee and he came to me wondering if the village would give the fire truck to Highland Hose rather than try and sell it...I thought it was a wonderful idea to save the "Fox" and Doug and I worked tirelessly to convince the Board of Trustees to allow the gift. Today the Ole Pumper remains still running and a reminder of the long gone days of Nyack Firefighters....

Mary and family,

The angels are always near to those who are grieving, to whisper to them that their loved one is safe in the hand of God.

Doug was one of the most dedicated men in our fire department and a great person. His passion and intensity to make Highland Hose the best it could be was more than admirable, it was infectious. On a personal note, I will miss him dearly as one of those men who looked over me like his own. All my best to Mary and his family during this hard time.

I will always remember Doug for his passion and love for his family and Highland Hose.
