Not sure what to say?

I met Doug at the 2006 Frith Reunion at Oak Level Ruritan. He was a gentle, good man with an engaging curiosity in any conversation-a man I am proud to call Cousin. Prayers and condolences to his family and extended family. I know his absence creates a void in the greater community of the area that will be felt for as long as his memory endures. May he rest in peace.

Margaret, Larry, Madeline, Kyle, Susan, John, Sarah and Alison, you have our Sympathy and we know that God will see you through. You are in our Prayers. Love You. Leroy and Odessie

Margaret and Susan,

I enjoyed reading the book that your dad wrote. I enjoyed seeing him at my mother's 80th birthday party. He was such a kind gentleman. He thanked me for inviting him to the party but indicated that he had to leave to take care of your mom. He was a class act!

Tricia Draper Charles Kohlbeck (Patsy Draper's daughter)

I met Doug at the Courthouse in Radford, Va. at a time when I was working for other lawyers and trying to gain entry into law school. We became friends instantly and he asked me to do some research for him. Our friendship continued as he encouraged me to pursue a legal career and I made a point to see him whenever in Martinsville. A wonderful man, a great lawyer and a true friend who will be missed. My sincere condolences to his family, friends and colleagues. Pete Beller, Radford, Va.

The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord(Romans 6:23). To the family, may God wrap His loving arms around you and comfort you during this time and the times ahead. Our prayers are with you.

My sympathy and condolences are with you and your family at this time. Mr. Fritz was a very sweet person who I will always remember when dealing in the profession of an Attorney. May God Continue to Bless your family. To God Be The Glory. Sister Johnsie P. Finney-Tate, Roanoke, Virginia

Margaret and Susan, I am so very sorry for your loss. I imagine that Uncle Doug and Aunt Ella are together again for eternity without pain or age to slow them down. Your parents were, for me growing up, the epitome of what true southern grace and hospitality should encompass and being in their presence was to be in the presence of warmth, sincerity, intellect and style. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your families.
