Not sure what to say?

To all,
On behalf of Carolyn, Tom and myself, as well as the rest of the family, I want to thank you for your thoughts and prayers. Much has changed for us in a short period of time. Mom and Dad always did things together, and, now, they are back together forever. We are grateful for their long, wonderful life that we were so fortunate to share with them. Thanks for remembering with us how special they were.

Our condolences to the Updike family. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

Some of my best memories, being invited to dinner at the Updike's. Sitting on that long wooden bench, and eating Mrs Updike's apple pie. I was always in wonderment at the love I felt between the Updikes! It left a lasting impression upon my life! John and Clara you will always be in remembrance!

I offer my condolences to the family of Dr. John J. Updike and especially to my longtime friends, Phil and Claudia. Losing a parent is difficult, but you are blessed with memories of a lifetime of joy, association, and parental love. He was a good man and a credit to his family, church, and professional organizations. Elwood has lost a fine man.

I was sorry to read of John's death. He and the family welcomed me often to their home. I have very fond memories of my time in Elwood because of that.

Dear Phil, Claudia and Family,
We are sending our sincere condolences in your loss. Prayers for peace and comfort and lots of loving memories.

Phil- sorry for your loss.

My deepest sympathy goes to Dr. Updike's family. I worked for his son, Phil Updike, many years ago and remember him as a fine man who loved his parents.

We offer our deepest condolences during this difficult time
